摘要：

In this paper we have focused on the Romanian external trade during the period 2007 - 2013. Using statistical indicators it has been analyzed the Romanian imports and exports at the global level, data available from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. After the study we could find scarce products that we import in large quantities, so we can cover the needs of food, like meat, sugar and sugar confectionery, miscellaneous edible preparations, residues and waste from food industries and fruits. Also, we have seen the product groups for which we have competitive advantages, such as cereals, oil seeds and oleaginous fruits, live animals and tobacco. Romania has been a net importer country, as it can be seen in the realized analyze, excepting the year 2013 when our country became positive on the trade balance. (C) 2015 The Authors.
