Computational modeling of tellurite based photonic crystal fiber for infrared supercontinuum generation

摘要
In this paper, we have numerically designed a golden spiral photonic crystal fiber using tellurite glass for supercontinuum generation. Dispersion engineering technique has been used for the optimization of geometrical parameters of the fiber. At a pump wavelength of 1.35 mu m the proposed fiber offers the high value of nonlinear coefficient as 884 W-1. km(-1) and low effective mode area as 3.79 mu m(2). An ultra-broadband supercontinuum spectrum ranging 1000 - 5500 nm has been generated with a bandwidth of 4500 nm using designed fiber of length 5.5-centimeters long pumped with few femtosecond laser sources in the infrared wavelength region.
