摘要
The present paper reports study on a novel anticancer drug loading and pH-dependent release system based on one-step functionalized graphene oxide reduced with tea polyphenols (TPG). The TPG showed an efficient loading capacity of doxorubicin (DOX) as high as 1.293 x 10(6) mg . g(-1), also exhibiting a pH-responsive release behavior due to hydrogen bonding interaction between DOX and TPG. Moreover, the kinetic models and adsorption isotherms as well as possible loading mechanisms were investigated in detail in this study. The TPG showed excellent biocompatibility, including stable dispersibility in physiological environment and cell culture medium. Finally, the TPG exhibited enhanced anticancer effect to adenoid cystic carcinoma cell line (ACC2), both as a drug carrier and delivery system. In conclusion, these results demonstrated that TPG is a multifunctional drug delivery system with higher loading capacity and pH-responsive drug release for enhanced anticancer effect.
