The contribution opens the work of the round table on the professional profiles of cultural heritage and museums after the enactment of Ministerial Decree 244 of 2019. It reconstructs the long and complex story relating to the still lack of recognition of professional figures in museums starting from the end of the century last until the most recent regulatory decrees and activities promoted by sector organizations. © 2022 THE CULTURAL CAPITAL.
