Uplink directional admission control combined with dynamic channel allocation for beamforming TDD-CDMA systems

摘要
Beamforming techniques have been proposed for Third Generation (3G) Mobile Communication systems to increase the spectral efficiency of the wireless channel. Radio resource management mechanisms such as admission control (AC) with smart antennas should take care of directional load to guarantee an acceptable Quality of Service (QoS). A directional interference based uplink AC algorithm combined with Dynamic Channel Allocation (DCA), schemes is proposed for TDD-CDMA system with smart antennas. Definition of uplink beam load is put forward which takes the spatial filtering gain of antenna array into consideration. Simulation shows the throughput advantage obtained using the novel scheme compared with traditional AC schemes.
