摘要
Mini-suburethral tapes (SUT) are still under evaluation in female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). A medico-economic study was designed in conjunction with our hospital pharmacy department but was interrupted due to the defection by the responsible pharmacist. We present the functional results of this study. Fifteen patients with mean age of 57 years (range, 39 to 78 years) suffering of stress urinary incontinence were treated with a TVT-Secur suburethral tape. Seven patients had urgency, three of whom with urgency incontinence. Only one patient has not been pregnant, one was previously operated for SUI, and one has had a hysterectomy. They wear a mean of two pads daily (range, 0 to 7). Local anesthesia was always performed and in three cases, an additional diazanalgesia was required. Results were evaluated at one month and one year by face-to-face interview asking for residual leakage, pad wearing and patient satisfaction, and three self questionnaires: IQOL, Ditrovie, and Mesure du handicap urinaire (MHU). All the patients were discharged from hospital at day 0 except one who was discharged at day 1 because of convulsions secondary to local anesthesia. At one month, seven patients were very satisfied, and eight were satisfied. Eleven patients are dry and wear no pads except two who wear one pad daily for some urgency urinary incontinence. The four remaining patients wear only one pad daily for some minimal residual SUI. At one year, two patients are lost of follow-up, five are very satisfied, seven satisfied, and one is unhappy. Seven patients are dry and wear no pad except one who wears one pad daily for some urgency urinary incontinence. Five patients wear only one pad daily for minimal residual SUI. One patient wears two pads daily for residual SUI. Mean IQOL, Ditrovie, and MHU scores at base line, one month, and one year, respectively, are 70, 2.7, 7; 102, 1.2, 1.6; and 100, 1.2, 2. Mini-SUT functional results published in literature are heterogeneous. Our limited results are encouraging, and there is a need for a larger study.
