Interphase synthesis and some characteristics of stable colloidal solution of CuO in octane

摘要
The colloidal copper oxide (II) solution in octane was synthesized by interphase interaction between copper (II) oleate and sodium hydroxide. The resulting two-phase was stirred for 2 hours at 95 °C without disturbing octane-water interface. The brown colloidal solution of CuO in octane was obtained. The particle size distribution and the composition of the dispersed phase of colloidal solution were studied by chemical analysis, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and IR-spectroscopy. Without any addition of a stabilizer, the resulting solution is stable for a long time. The disperse phase of the colloidal solution consists of crystal spherical particles of CuO (II) of average diameter approximately 6 nm.
