摘要：

A reply made to the B. Poelsema and co-workers's comment on the electronic structure of the high temperature Ge (001) surface by using photo-emission spectroscopy was presented. The reply said that the proposed electronic structure study has ignored several theoretical and experimental aspects concerned with the valence band spectroscopy. In this regard, the dimerized disordered surface obtained via dimer break-up was evaluated.
