摘要
To solve the issue of data privacy and sharing in cloud environment, methods of encrypted storage and public key sharing mechanisms are used. While using the normal public key sharing system, even though it provides the privacy to the user, it does not provide the required privacy to individual files at a fine-grained level. This paper provides a mechanism to enhance the privacy to such a system on the basis of existing OpenStack Swift storage service. This design includes the combination of symmetric-key encryption and public-key encryption mechanism to ensure the user data privacy and it uses the permission based data sharing between the users to improve the privacy of the system. In this paper, we implement secure private cloud environment using OpenStack Swift storage service along with an additional permission layer to ensure the data privacy to each user. This permission layer acts as the intermediary between the user and the private cloud environment implemented using OpenStack.
