摘要
The translations of literary works and adaptations of these to film are two closely related issues, two variants of the same process of translation, as it was understood by Roman lakobson in 1959. To illustrate this proximity, the article tries to highlight some of the insights to the relationship between two translations (one literary and one filmic): the short novel L'annulaire, French translation of the Japanese book by Yoko Ogawa, and the movie adaptation by Diane Bertrand. A work like Ogawa's, which could be graded as fantastic, disturbing and open offers various possibilities of adaptation to any director, depending on the reading and interpretation carried out.
