Chemical synthesis of oligosaccharides related to arabinogalactan-proteins (AGPs)

摘要
Synthetic routes to two terminal arabinose-containing oligosaccharide fragments related to arabinogalactan (AGP) polysaccharides have been devised using standard protecting group and coupling strategies. These new compounds represent possible carbohydrate epitopes of arabinogalactan polysaccharides that may be involved in developmental processes of plant cell walls. They may also be related to some of the observed pharmacological activities of AGPs.
