摘要
Natural fibers and particulates are used as reinforcement material in polymer composite from last several years and it has been constantly rising in the composite industries. The mechanical properties of various polymeric composites demonstrate the finest alternative to substitute the metal objects. Fibre filled polymeric composites are light in weight and can have extensive variety of applications. They need less maintenance and have long durability. In the present study, to enhance the properties of polymeric composites fly ash-an industrial waste and sisal fibre powder has been incorporated in polyester resin. Composites were fabricated by Hand layup technique. Electrical and the mechanical properties of the manufactured composites were studied and it was observed that the existence of sisal fibre powder content improved the mechanical property of hybrid composites. Dielectric constant values of the samples was observed at higher frequency region. The use of present study is to explore the potential use of fly ash which is an industrial waste, Sisal fibre an agro waste for the automobile parts. (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
