摘要
The results are presented of experiments on verification of the recently proposed statistical model of laminar-turbulent transition in a boundary layer subjected to elevated free-stream turbulence. It turned out to be that not all of the assumptions in this theory were completely justified. However, the most important proposition on the threshold character of the turbulent spots' generation after the streamwise streaks reached certain amplitude was confirmed in all tests.
