Application of Data Mining Technology in Railway Transportation in Era of Big Data

As a key component of individual national economies, railway transportation is significant for developing countries. What the railway management departments want to achieve is to guarantee the safety, stability and reliability of railway transportation. In this paper, the outline of big data is explained firstly, and then the great challenges of railway transportation in the era of big data is discussed. Furthermore, enormous effect on railway transportation exerted by using data mining technology in the era of big data was pointed out. Afterwards, the realization approach of data mining technology in railway transportation in the era of big data was proposed by describing a series of steps of data mining technology. Finally, the broad application prospect of data mining technology in the era of big data in railway transportation was viewed from several aspects, such as intelligent security monitoring.
