摘要
The effect of drawing K+ cations into the dense part of the double layer in systems Hg/(H2O + 1 M KCl) and Hg/(H2O + 1 M KNO3) and the prospects of its description within the framework of a modified model of the electrical double layer are considered. The assumption that the charge of cations in the dense part depends linearly on the electrode charge provides the best agreement with the experimental values of the total surface excess. At the same time, under this assumption, the presence of a dense layer of drawn-in cations has virtually no effect on the shape of differential capacitance curves.
