Operation of vertical continuous-casting unit with deformation of the ingot

摘要
The heat transfer of a steel crystallization unit with ingot deformation is investigated on the basis of data on the temperature of two horizontal cross sections of the inclined wall, in different conditions of tin casting. The heat fluxes determined from the temperature difference in the walls and the heating of the water in the channels are compared. The crystallization unit is cooled by water in two-phase flow. The heat-transfer coefficients obtained for the crystallization unit are compared with literature data.
