The Effect of Pre-School Education on the Social Skills of First Graders

摘要
The aim of this study is to determine whether the first graders' having a pre-school education (having this education for one year, having this education for two years, and having this education for three years or more) makes any difference on their basic social skills, the transactional and cognitive skills, group work compatibility, starting and maintaining relations, and on their emotional skills. The target population of the study are the2010-2011 education year first graders of national education directorate's all primary education institutions that have nursery classes. At the institutions, "basic social skills", "starting and maintaining relations", "emotional skills", "group work compatibility", "transactional skills", and "cognitive skills" subscales of "social skills evaluation rating scale(SBDO)" and personal information forms have been applied on 455 first graders. All 455 questionaries have been evaluated.
