摘要
This study aimed to analyze the conceptions of gender and sexuality of Pedagogy students from a private university in Manaus. The study theme addresses themes in sexuality and gender in teacher education, since the nine participants were part of a curriculum matrix in which the discipline of Gender and Education would be studied for the first time. The research was conducted from a focus group divided into three sessions, called past, present and future. The data were obtained through the records of the participants' personal and collective experiences on the topics discussed, highlighting their knowledge and practices, linking directly to the future profession they will exercise at the end of the course. The results point to the importance of such discussions in the field of teacher education, as well as about the religious and family influence on the conceptions of the teachers in question. Thus, it is expected that with the insertion of the discipline we have better teachers prepared for diversity teaching.
