摘要
Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) is more common in those with hypothyroidism, panhypopituitarism, and hypogonadism. This article details two cases of macroprolactinoma presenting with SUE almost certainly due to severe pituituary deficiency. These cases highlight the importance of assessing patients with SUE thyroid function, bone age, and pubertal grading. Excess growth hormone can also be a contributing factor in the genesis of SCFE, and it has been shown that SUE occurs more frequently in children treated with growth hormone. In one of these cases there was cosecretion of growth hormone with prolactin that could have been an additional contributing factor.
