摘要:
A first-person reflection by a Canadian regular participant in the first two decades of the Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Animated and Short Films, founded in 1990 by the Government of India's Films Division. The article explores the historical trajectory and contradictions of a state-funded and bureaucratic showcase of a genre traditionally devoted to social issues and advocacy within in an increasingly congested international festival industry.
