摘要
This article reflects on inclusive public policies from the perspective of accessibility and permanence. Such a view contemplates the bias of the lows guaranteeing access to higher education for people with special needs. The study analyzed the actions implemented at the Federal University of Tocantins, Campus Palmas. The aim was to point out the conditions and policies for access and permanence of students with special needs. Research instruments were used: scientific literature, current legislation, normative acts, and internal documents. It was concluded that the Institution advances in accessibility practices and inclusive actions. However, there was on insufficiency in assistive technology, regarding the actions of spatial accessibility, related to its architectural environment. Effective changes are urgent.
