摘要
Parkinson's disease is a slowly progressing degenerative disease of the human nervous system associated with the loss of neurons that produce dopamine, a chemical that functions as neurotransmitter. This reduction is characterized by changing blink rate, a non-motor symptom. This paper introduces a noninvasive and reliable technique of eye blink analysis, by image processing in MATLAB. The proposed system can be used by physicians as an alternative to the other existing costly analysis techniques.
