摘要
Adaptive Cruise Control and Parking Aid Systems are already introduced in the automotive market for years. Based on environmental detection sensors all systems available today are comfort systems. The driver can overrule the system at any time. Other systems supporting the driver in the lateral control of the vehicle are under development. For the future a common direction on all driver assistance systems is the opening out to safety. This seems to be one of the key factors to penetrate the market sufficiently. Almost 95 percent of all car drivers regard safety as being more important than comfort. The second important target for future driver assistance systems is the multi-use of sensors to cut the over-all system costs.
