摘要
In the title complex, [Pd(N-3)(2)(C12H8N2)], the Pd-II ion is four-coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar environment by two N atoms of the chelating 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and two N atoms from two azide anions. The azido ligands are slightly bent with bond angles of 174.8 (4) and 174.5 (5)degrees. The complex molecules are stacked in columns along the a axis and are connected by intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. In the columns, numerous intermolecular pi-pi interactions between the six-membered rings are present, the shortest ring centroid-centroid distance being 3.607 (2) angstrom.
