摘要
The main objective of this paper is to document the comparative and absolute advantages and disadvantages of using SRG's, PMSG's and DFIG's in wind generation. Also, we will present the most common characteristics of each machine regarding its control and operation, as well as some collateral considerations about the implementation of each machine; for instance, costs, use of power electronics, interconnection issues, etc. Finally, we will show a comparative table that can be used during the initial selection of a generator for a specific application.
