摘要：

This paper describes the impact of the information technology and Internet on manufacturing industry. The concept and characteristics of e-Manufacturing is presented. The paper focuses on the structure of industrial control network in the plant floor, and a case study for on-line machine tool telemonitoring architecture is proposed.
