摘要
This paper reports a new method of fabricating Fe-6.5wt%Si composite compact with plasticity by Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS). Mechanical Alloying (MA) has been used to prepare Fe-Si composite powders. Such powders exhibit non-equilibrium state between Fe and Si. The composite powders were sintered by SPS at elevated temperature from 400degreesC to 700degreesC. The result indicates that the non-equilibrium state of composite Fe-Si has been preserved in the compact. The sintered bulk of Fe-6.5wt%Si exhibits good plasticity. It can be rolled into lamination at room temperature.
