Effect of moderate cold rolling on stability of texture in an (α2+β) Ti3Al-base alloy

摘要
The present study reports textural changes that occur during final cold rolling stage of a thermomechanically processed Ti3Al base alloy as a function of rolling reduction. Textural changes have been examined for 15 and 30% cold rolling reductions. The cold rolling deformation similar to30% of a prior thermomechanically processed Ti-24Al-11Nb alloy, with initial R-type basal texture, does not change its basic character. The main texture components are found to be of [01 (1) over bar7][uvtw] type. No twinning is observed up to 30% rolling deformation. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
