Matching Characteristics of Aircraft-Ramp Parameters during Ski-Jump Takeoff of Carrier-Based Aircraft

摘要
The parameters matching between carrier-based aircraft and ski-jump ramp is one of the key issues in the conceptual design phase of ski-jump takeoff. A mathematical simulation model of a carrier-based aircraft during ski-jump takeoff process was built up taking into consideration the complicated takeoff environment. Based on the model, the influence of primary aircraft-ramp parameters on ski-jump takeoff safety was analyzed and the matching set of primary parameters during ski-jump takeoff process that accord with the takeoff safety criteria was computed. The results indicate that enhancing the presetting elevator angle and the ramp exit angle can help to decrease the flight path descent during ski-jump takeoff process. Within the boundary of the matching set, the region decided by presetting elevator angle and ramp exit angle finally shrinks to a point with the increase of takeoff mass.
