摘要
Mosher amides of alpha-methylselenocysteine were synthesized to determine the absolute stereochemistry of the sterically hindered alpha-carbon utilizing H-1, C-13, F-19, and Se-77 NMR spectroscopies. After analysis of these spectra using the established Mosher method, the stereochemistry of the alpha-carbon was determined to be (R), which was subsequently confirmed using x-ray crystallography.
