Nano powders of β-sialon carbothermally produced via a sol-gel process

摘要
Carbothermal synthesis of nano β-sialon powders via a sol-gel route was analyzed. The raw materials were ultrafine amorphous SiO2 powder, ultrafine carbon powder and Boehmite. The grain size of the prepared β-sialon was calculated by the Scherrer equation. The characteristics of the powders were also studied by TEM and EDS.
