Since the mid-1990s, the comparative advantage of labor-intensive products has been weakened and their increases in export has also been slowing down. Against this background, the argument on weather the labor-intensive industry has a bright future begins to draw a universal concern. Based on Granger's normal research form, the paper studied on the relationship between development of the labor-intensive industries and economic growth in China by taking the textile industry for an example. The results show that: the labor-intensive industries still play a significant role in China's national economy; on one hand, the textile industry plays a part in promoting economic growth, and on the other hand the textile industry is being influenced by economic growth, which reason is that the requirement of consumable textile, which belongs to a kind of necessity for life, is mostly domestic, and with income growth the textile consumption goes up, consequently accelerating the development of textile industry; the development of labor-intensive industries closely related to the daily life should be placed special stress on, since such a virtuous circle mentioned above is easy to form between the industries' development and the economic growth.
