摘要
This paper analyses the possibilities of Applied Theatre in Education to work on the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of equality in higher cycles of Vocational Training (secondary education with orientation towards the world of work) in Castilla y Leon. In this context, a case study with a qualitative approach was carried out with the aim of analysing the potential of theatre to address gender equality issues. Ethnographic instruments and techniques such as non-participant observation, video recordings, semi-structured interviews and analysis of written productions were used in the data collection. The results presented allow us to analyse the educational and civic potential of this educational innovation based on methodological strategies of theatrical pedagogy to promote processes of awareness, construction of critical and counter-hegemonic thinking, fundamentally on the social role of women and the structural violence exercised on them and their lives on a daily basis.
