摘要
The use of piassava fibers in reinforcement of resin matrix composite materials was analyzed. Flexural mechanical properties were evaluated and density of the fibers was found independent of their length. Variation of stress rupture of piassava-polyster composites was studied as a function of the mass fraction of fibers. The modulus of rupture was compared with that of wood-based materials and bagasse boards.
