摘要
Oral culture products like myths, legends, tales, anecdotes, folk stories, etc. are called as "folk narrations". It is known that these are valuable sources which contain rich materials for the researchers who will search "numerical symbolism". From the Mythological Age till today, the same is as it is in most of the folk cultural products in folk narrations, special meanings are attributed to some numbers. These numbers are accepted as "sacred" because of the meanings they contain, Numbers of "three", "four", "seven", "nine", "fourty" are some of those numbers which has been attributed with special meanings and accepted as "sacred". In this article, it is aimed to determine the meanings of numbers of "three","four", "seven", "nine" and "fourty" in Crimean-Turkish Folk Narrations by comparing with the meanings of "three","four", "seven", "nine", "fourty" in Turkish Mythology and folk culture and Crimean-Turkish Folk Narrations.
