摘要
(Chemical Equation Presented) Clearing the mind: Peptide-cleaving agents for amyloid β-42 (Aβ42) oligomers (see scheme), the intermediate neurotoxic species in the pathology of Alzheimer's disease, have been obtained from a combinatorial library built using the CoIII complex of 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane as the reaction center. Effective cleavage of the Aβ42 oligomers occurs at submicromolar concentrations of the agents. © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
