Superluminal group velocities and information transfer

摘要
It is well established that the group velocity of wave propagation can exceed the vacuum speed of light. However, in such cases the group velocity cannot be interpreted as a velocity of information transfer. The phenomenon essentially consists in an analytic continuation of the pulse shape available within the light cone.
