摘要
This article deals with the role of the class assistant in learning situations experienced in distance educa-tion, specifically, in the Specialization course in Pedagogical Coordination. The objective was to analyze the role of the class assistant, in contexts of mediation in the virtual environment, according to what was estab-lished in his attributions in favor of the learning of the students. The research methodology has a qualita-tive approach and the analyses were made based on the Moodie virtual learning environment records. It could be evidenced that there was the contribution of the class assistant in the process of deconstructing hierarchies among the course participants in which collaboration and cooperation provided the strengthen-ing of the learning process of the networked community, created in the virtual learning environment Moo-die. In this way, everyone was able to learn not only the content of the ambient classrooms, but also the culture underlying the use of virtual environments for the acquisition of knowledge.
