摘要
Electrical power provides feeds different kind of linear and non-linear loads in commercial and manufacturing applications. The electronics loads produce harmonics and reactive power related problems in the electrical utility systems. The power quality disturbance just like harmonic and reactive power cause poor power factor and distort the source voltage at the consumer service end. In this work, we propose a solution to eliminate the current harmonics introduced by the nonlinear loads, used shunt active power filter supplied by a renewable energy source. The shunt active power filter shows a strong vitality in eliminating harmonics and reactive power, which has received extensive concern in power electronic filed. Most of the using shunt active power filters are based on voltage source inverter. The DC-link voltage of inverter must be kept stable in order that SAPF can compensate harmonics and reactive power effectively. In this paper we developed MATLAB (R) Simulink model of a typical power distribution system with a nonlinear load and shunt active power filter is carried out and the results are presented which imply a better dynamic performance of the proposed scheme to the conventional PI controller.
