摘要
The surface composition of an iron surface, after treatment by 4-carboxybenzene diazonium tetrafluoroborate (BF4- +N2C6H4COOH) was investigated. The angle-resolved x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was performed to probe the interfacial species formed between the diazonium salt and the iron surface. The existence of a covalent bond between an aryl group and metallic substrate (iron) by using XPS as a sensitive surface analytical tool was also discussed.
