:
A convenient and excellent yield procedure for the synthesis of N-tert-butyl Amides by Ritter reaction with nitriles and (Boc)(2)O in the presence of Fe(ClO4)(3)center dot xH(2)O as a highly stable, effective and available catalyst is described.
