CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO ELIMINATE CHILD LABOR IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VIETNAM

Child labor negatively affects the physical and mental development of children. Enterprises that are direct employers of child labor play an essential role in eliminating child labor. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is one of the criteria evaluating the enterprise's contribution to the general development of the whole society. The article analyzes the experience in performing CSR on the abolition of child labor in Ivory Coast and India, and assesses that situation in Vietnam. Some recommendations to improve CRS in eliminating child labor in Vietnam will be provided from the research result.
