摘要
The World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire is a measurement instrument for assessing the quality of life in different cultural settings. The present study examine the psychometric properties: factorial structure and internal consistence of the Spanish version in a Mexican adult sample, using structural equations modelling. A total of 678 participants were tested: 491 undergraduate students, 87 bus drivers and, 100 caregivers of chronic patients. Cronbach's alpha for different categories was high >.70. In confirmatory factor analysis, the data showed differed slightly from the original 4 factor model, for the last model 7 items were eliminated, noting important in the fit of the model although insufficient improvement (RMR .092, GFI .869, NFI .589, RFI .539, PRATIO .891, PGFI .713). It is concluded that the SEM is an adequate model for the evaluation of the structure factor of the questionnaire. Four dimensional model originally proposed in the BREF WHOQoL is adjusted weak form to this sample, sin embargo A cultural assessment of deleted items is recommended in order to obtain a better adjustment to the original theoretical model.
