The Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys organized an exhibition on 'Restructuring: Design, Refractories, Monitoring Instruments and Systems, and Automatic Process Control Systems.' The exhibition was part of the scientific-technical conference, 'Automated Furnaces and Energy-Saving Technologies in Metallurgy.' The manufacturing firm TESEI was another exhibit of note organized by one of the sponsors of the conference. The company produces thermocouples for general industrial use such as resistance thermocouples, protective devices for thermocouples and thermometers, and platinum thermocouples. The production of gas-analysis systems for the metallurgical furnaces was one of the important areas of research and development at the conference.
