摘要
The pollution has been increased around the globe due to the usage of petroleum products. In providing lubrication, synthetic lubricants are in use but their degradation is harmful due to their high toxicity. In order to reduce their application, non-edible vegetable oils are suitable alternatives. In this study, Schlichera oleosa was used as bio based lubricant. In this process, different loads were applied at constant sliding speed. At higher loads, more amount of friction and wear was observed. The reduction in friction and wear was obtained during the application of Schlichera oleosa bio based lubricant in comparison to the Schlichera oleosa oil. Also, minimum wear scar was formed during utilization of bio based lubricant. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
