Magnetic and transport properties of the electron doped layered manganite La2.3-xYxCa0.7Mn2O7

摘要
In this paper we report the magnetic and transport properties of the layered perovskite compound La2.3-xYx Ca0.7Mn2O7 (x = 0, 0.3, 0.5) showing metal-insulator transition and ferromagnetism where the manganese ions are in a mixture of Mn2+ and Mn3+ states. The thermopower for the sample with x = 0.5 is positive over the temperature range 80-300 K suggesting that the e(g) conduction band is more than half filled. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
