1.55 μm DFB waveguide lasers integrated on Yb-Er-doped phosphate glass substrate

摘要
We have realised 1 cm long DFB lasers integrated on an Er-Yb-doped phosphate glass substrate with the use of Ion Exchange technology. The grating has been written in a photoresist layer with an interferometric exposure setup and transfered on the glass top surface with a Reactive Ion Etching. The lasers emit in a single longitudinal mode at 1.5418 mum with a pump power threshold of 27 mW, and a slope efficiency of 1.6 %.
