A REVISION OF THE SPECIES OF ENOCHRUS (COLEOPTERA: HYDROPHILIDAE) FROM CHINA

Nineteen species of the genus Enochrus from mainland China are treated except Enochrus hybridus Hebauer. One new species E. pseudesuriens, sp. nov., and seven new records from China namely, E. laoticus Hebauer, E. asiaticus (Kuwert), E. ater (Kuwert), E. crassus (Regimbart), E. schawallei Hebauer, E. testaceus (Fabricius) and E. fuscipennis (Thomson) are the highlights. In addition, E. umbratus (Sharp), E. ussuriensis Knisch and E. kishidai Kamiya concluded as junior synonyms of E. simulans (Sharp); and E. vilis (Sharp) with E. affinis (Thunberg). A key to the species provided.
