摘要
Cyst- and root-knot nematodes are economically the most important plant parasitic crop pests. They establish sophisticated feeding sites (syncytia or giant cells) in host roots and cause stunted growth, reduced yield or death of the host plants. This review focusses on molecular aspects of the host-parasite relationship and possibilities that arise from this knowledge to engineer nematode resistance in plants.
