Study of compact x-ray laser with a cavity pumped by pulse-train YAG laser

摘要
We have been developing a tabletop x-ray laser based on the recombination plasma scheme. X-ray lasing of the 15.47 nm transition line of Li-like Al in an x-ray laser cavity has been demonstrated. The cavity output has been characterized to have a beam divergence of about 3 mrad with an absolute intensity of approximately 1x10(8) photons/shot. The double-target configuration has been introduced to improve cavity output intensity substantially. Preliminary results will be presented.
